Gaza – PalThink for Strategic Studies has streamed a new radio episode of the Youth Talk series entitled “Positive Education and Combating Domestic Violence,” as part of the second phase of the “PalThink Academy for Democracy and Human Rights” project, supported by the German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by ifa’s Funding Programme zivik.

During the episode, Academy members Hanin Abu Samhadana and Kamel Joudah spoke about the necessity of raising the awareness of the emerging Palestinian generation on the values of tolerance and rejecting violence at an early age.

They discussed instilling the values and principles that are based on societal peace and democracy in children who will disseminate them in their community and across the rest of the generations.

The two speakers pointed out that combating violence begins early when children are raised by their parents and goes deeper during the subsequent societal and cultural upbringing stages.

When children are raised to renounce violence and accept others, this contributes to strengthening civil peace in society, the two speakers elaborated.

It is worth noting that PalThink will continue the “Youth Talk” radio series during the next months to address multiple topics related to democracy and human rights among Palestinian youth. The series enables youth to express their opinions and contribute to strengthening democracy and building Palestinian society.
