PalThink for Strategic Studies has concluded a training course on presentation skills that brought together about 30 participants from the Democracy and Dialogue Forum members, as part of the activities and events of the PalThink Academy for Democracy and Human Rights project, supported by the German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by ifa’s Funding Programme zivik.
The training course comes within the framework of PalThink’s tireless efforts to qualify the rising generation of Palestinian youth and provide them with the necessary skills to exercise their role in political and community participation.
The course was opened by political science and public policies researcher of PalThink, Yahya Qaoud, who welcomed the attendees, and said, “This workshop comes within the many activities that PalThink is implementing with the aim of honing the skills of the members of the Democracy and Dialogue Forum, including workshops, training courses, and discussion sessions for books and films.”
The course consisted of two sessions, during the first of which trainer Samah Al-Safadi discussed presentation techniques, the art of speaking in front of an audience, and how to overcome stage fright.
As for the second session, it was presented by Yahya Qaoud, and it addressed planning the presentation, whether in training workshops or conferences, how to design the presentation, and the importance of body language.
The training course was concluded with a practical application of what the members learned, as each member presented a topic of his interest to a group of his colleagues to receive feedback.
